Tile Guard® Water-Based Grout Sealer is the preferred way to seal grout quickly and easily with no harsh solvents. A penetrating reactive sealer forms a chemical bond with grout. Your treated grout is then protected from water and oil-based stains. It can be used inside or outdoors and is safe for use on all grouts.

1. Apply to an inconspicuous area to test for appearance, compatibility and satisfactory seal (visually confirm that water beads on the surface).
2. Allow grout to dry 1 hour after final grout-haze-rinse, to allow excess moisture to evaporate.
3. Read all directions and warnings on this product before spraying.
4. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.
5. Grout joints must be clean, dry, and free of sealers or coatings.
6. Invert can and point nozzle away from you at the grout line; keep a distance of 10-15 inches. Press the nozzle and spray along the grout line, avoiding excess sealer that may result in pooling or excess residue.
7. 5-10 minutes after applying, wipe tile surfaces dry with a clean, dry cotton towel.
8. A second coat is recommended for maximum protection and to assure that no spots are missed in the application process. Wait at least 30 minutes between coats.
9. Protection starts an hour after application, but reaches full cure in 24 hours. Floor may be walked on when dry to the touch. Keep floor dry for 12 hours.

Coverage

Grout Coverage: 500 linear feet 2 coats which equals:

• 2 coats on 12x12 tiles: over 250 square ft.
• 2 coats on 4x4 tiles: over 96 square ft.

Expected Wear

• Many conditions such as sunlight, harsh cleaning chemicals or solvents, traffic, and the porosity of the surface being treated will shorten the life of the sealer. Periodically test the surface with water drops and if water doesn’t bead on the surface but is instead absorbed, another application is recommended. For best protection, reseal annually to be certain your protection is at its best.

• Intentional misuse by concentrating and inhaling may be harmful or fatal.
• Spraying on highly polished surfaces such as ceramic tile or polished stone may cause surfaces to become slippery. Wipe off any excess overspray on polished walking surfaces.
• Dispose of product following local waste guidelines.

First Aid

• EYE CONTACT: IMMEDIATELY flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical aid if irritation persists.
• SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. Get medical aid if irritation persists.
• INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Get medical aid if necessary.
• INGESTION: Aspiration hazard. DO NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.
